Halibut Fishing in the San Jaun Islands with the Puget Sound Anglers Assoc. Fidalgo-San Jaun Chapter.

The Puget Sound Anglers Fidalgo - San Jaun Islands Chapter has graciously offered to take us out halibut fishing and shrimping in the San Jaun Islands on May 13th starting at 0500.  We will be meeting at the Swinomish Casino at 1700 on May 12th for dinner and hang out for a little while and then stay overnight at the casino since we have an early call the next morning.  We'll be meeting Chapter President, Karey Small, and her husband, Darrin, along with other Chapter volunteer boat captains at the Cap Sante Marina at 0530 and then shove off for an amazing day of fishing and shrimping.  We will be out on the water until 1800.  This event is for veterans only.  Caregiver attendance will be on a case-by-case basis.  Rooms will be shared between 2 participants.  Participant will be responisible for purchasing their own fishing license for this trip.  You will need at least the 1-day combination license with a halibut catch card.  These cost $11.35 for WA residents and $20.15 for non-residents.  You can purchase these at most sporting goods stores in WA or on the WDFW website.  You will need to register on the website if you haven't done so before.  Fishing license types and fees | Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife
